A hospital has admitted that a technician in its pathology lab failed to follow proper procedures for genetic testing used to help physicians determine the appropriate treatments for its cancer patients. The hospital purports to have discovered this error in April 2014, when one of its pathologists noticed inconsistencies in test results, triggering an independent review.
According to the hospital, the testing error affected 124 patients between March 2013 and March 2014.
Roda Law, LLC represents one of the affected patients, who was given incorrect test results during this period.
